The entire community of Wilsonia became a National Historic District on March 15, 1996 and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Wilsonia Historic District Trust, Inc. - a 501(c)(3)
The National Register of Historic Places is our federal government’s official list of districts, sites, buildings, structures, and objects deemed worth of preservation for their historic significance. Today, there are more than one million properties on the National Register of which 80,000 are listed individually. The remainder (for example, a Wilsonia cabin) are called “contributing resources” within a broader historic district - such as the Wilsonia Historic District.
